Young Leaders for Healthy Change


 

Young Leaders will work in teams of at least four high school students and one adult “Advocate.” Together, teams will engage in 12 weeks of health challenges that will inspire them to try new activities and participate in a variety of fun service and leadership experiences. Young Leaders continually build their team and all they do earns them points towards earning a scholarship.

 


Young Leaders will...

  • Create an individual and team profileonline
  • Complete weekly health challenges
  • Blog to share experiences
  • Post photos and videos
  • Set and track fitness goals
  • Complete online trainings
  • Launch a community service project
  • Build their team with other friends, family members and role models

Advocates Will...

School faculty, parents and professionals are all encouraged to become Advocates by registering teams of classes, clubs and groups of friends. Over the course of the semester, Advocates will encourage teams do all that it takes to be successful in the Young Leaders experience. They will:

  • Help students earn scholarships toward higher education
  • Help students improve their health and become leaders
  • Help students get volunteer service hours
  • Offer a creative way for their schools to meet Coordinated School Health requirements
  • Work alongside youth and their families to create a healthier community for all!
